About

I am a multi-media artist living in North Devon.  My specialist mediums are quilting, decorative/folk art painting/ jewellery making and card making.

I have always been interested in crafting and attended college 15 years ago  as a mature student in Art and Design where I obtained a  BTech National Diploma, specialising in textiles and fashion,  I then went on to make porcelain dolls creating costmes as well which I sold at craft stalls.  I ran a small hotel for a while and then retired to a less hectic pace where I took up card-making.  I then went on to quilting where I enjoyed the challenge of making quilts and covers in various textile designs.  I also learned jewellery and bead making and, finally at present am enjoying painting folk art style pictures and decorative art on any type of appropriate surface.

I run work shops every Tuesday for like-minded artists who want to share or learn new techniques in my craft barn which is next to my home.  It will hold up to 8 students and I charge a small fee of £3 per morning or afternoon or £6 per day.  This includes home made cake and tea/coffee.  It is great fun to meet up with like minded people and to help them achieve their goal.  If you think you would like to join us or would like further information let me know on this blog.
